In my most recent photography and website project, I wanted to highlight the struggles of being a woman with an invisible chronic illness. Instead of the world accommodating for different abilities, we have been exhaustively adapting to it at the expense of our own health. I wanted this project to strip that mask we put on and showcase the invisibility of the disease and our suffering. However, we are more than our chronic illness and can still find pockets of happiness despite our disorders, which I knew I needed to showcase in this project. Build

Ultimately comparing old and new urban architecture / cityscape in Boston, I started this project by freely walking around to find new areas of Boston. Eventually, I came across a of mostly-finished construction site for a new hotel in the heart of Seaport. It was impossible not to notice the difference between the modern glassy structure and energy of the 80-year old restaurant across the street. I knew that in order to make my final project successful, I would need to keep that sense of unprompted exploration. To view the full publication, click here or download the pdf!

Last Time Around

This photography project aims to beautifully document and celebrate the significant milestone of college graduation for three exceptional students from Northeastern University. The project seeks to create a series of photographs that encapsulate the essence of their academic journey, achievements, personal and professional growth. Including individual moments and group photos capturing their camaraderie and the bonds forged during their time at Northeastern, these images will serve as a reminder of the shared experiences and friendships developed throughout their college journey.
